Applications are invited for the continuing/tenured position of Lecturer (equivalent to US Assistant Professor) in Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.  The minimum qualification on appointment is the PhD degree of equivalent in Mathematics or a related discipline.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the applications of mathematics to computer of electrical engineering.
The Department has research strengths particularly in mathematical biology, computational mathematics, optimisation, partial differential equations, dynamical systems and industrial mathematics.  It maintains strong research and teaching links across the whole university and especially with the School of Engineering, as well as externally.  The appointee will be expected to contribute to these links and also be able to contribute to the general teaching programme of the Department.
