Programme
Venue for all meetings of ESGI 2002 is Faraday Complex,
Faraday Building, Lancaster University.
Plenary room is Faraday Lecture Theatre of the
Complex.
Seminar rooms are Cavendish/Frankland Lecture Theatres,
Cavendish/Frankland Colloquium Rooms, Faraday Seminar Rooms 1, 2 and North
Spine Rooms 1, 2 of the Complex.
University Library will be open during 2nd - 5th April
at 9:00 - 17:00, where books, journals and networked computers can be accessed.
Accommodation is provided on campus at Pendle College
for standard rooms and at Cartmel College for en-suite rooms.
Catering for all standard meals will be served in
Cartmel Restaurant on campus.
Banquet will be held at Spicy Hut on campus.
Parking spaces are provided on the outer perimeter road
of the University. Parking permits can be collected on arrival at the
Conference Centre Reception and must be displayed in the vehicles.

Helpful
notes:
- Lancaster University is three miles away from the Town Centre.
Bus stops are located at the Underpass below Alexandra Square.
- Lancaster House Hotel is the only restaurant on campus to open
on Easter Monday.
- The University Library will be the only networked computer
access for the ESGI participants with individually assigned guest usernames and
passwords.
- Taxi ranks are available at Lancaster railway station.
- Trains run from Manchester Airport to
Lancaster half hourly until 21.30.

* On Thursday 4th April there will also be a one-day
workshop supported by MACSI-net for companies in the textile industry and
applied and industrial mathematicians. This workshop will be held in a
dedicated seminar room and all Study Group participants are welcome to attend
